Kimwei only forms partnerships with companies who are actively doing something to go against the grain and be environmentally conscious and/or operate ethically. All bodies shown below are doing their bit by either going sweatshop free, making long lasting products to cut down on waste, using green materials, or by making products which help people consume less.
Kimwei is no longer in partnership with Road Jeans, but still recommends them: Road have a strong mission statement, and make great clothes that last for years despite constant wear. I’ve loved putting them on in the morning knowing that everyone involved in making them was paid a decent living wage.
I love cycling (see cycleblog) and love encouraging others to cycle, both for their own enjoyment and to help lower carbon emissions. Magic Mike makes top quality fixed gear and single speed bikes from his workshop in Exeter and I could not recommend him more!
He worked with me closely to design and custom build my one and only steed, to make it long lasting, low maintenance and virtually indestructible. It’s incredibly efficient and enjoyable to ride, and nothing beats getting a bike made to your specifications by such a passionate maker!

KIMWEI IS A TESTER FOR XERO SHOES
There are loads of benefits to walking barefoot. Doing it feels like regaining something natural
But what about the downsides? Dirty feet? Danger of injury from sharp objects? When I discovered Xero Shoes I was thrilled to find that someone had finally invented comfortable minimal footwear that really feels like being barefoot, but with a little protection and a sleek discreet look. I’m proud to have been invited to the Xero Shoes Inner Circle as one of their testers.
This minimal footwear is also environmentally friendly since each pair uses less materials than trainers or sandles and comes with a 5000 mile guarantee (that’s 10 years at 10 miles per day!).
